●學校簡介

    本校位於頭份市區北側，鄰近頭份交流道、建國路及中興路等重要交通要道，地理位置優越，是頭份市的交通樞紐之一。學區涵蓋忠孝、建國、成功、后庄、合興、文化及山下等里，校舍面積達26,698平方公尺。學校於民國82年5月28日經批准設立籌備處，並指派頭份國中陳秋沐校長兼任籌備主任。

    民國84年8月1日正式開放招生，首任校長為陳鎮祥校長。此後，學校歷經多位校長的領導，分別是：第二任鄭福源校長（93年2月至96年7月）、第三任陳鎮祥校長(96年8月至98年7月)、第四任謝金暾校長（98年8月至104年7月）、第五任賴松蓬校長(104年8月至105年7月)、第六任張慶應校長（105年8月至109年7月）、第七任林秋嬋校長(109年8月至113年7月)。

    目前，由方麗萍校長自113年8月起接掌校務，秉持「學生第一，教學優先」的理念，並深信「教育是用生命感動生命、用智慧啟發智慧的崇高使命」。方校長堅持以「學生學習為中心，教師專業為優先，社區共榮為依歸」為發展目標，並持續推動「國際領航、科技創新」的特色課程，致力培養「有禮貌、守紀律、愛學習」的建國學子，實現「富而好禮」的教育願景。

1. 重視品格教育

每週一節「本土語言」課程，並以「在地國際化」為主軸，搭配相關社團與營隊，強化第二種語言優勢能力，提升孩子在地認同感。

8. 強化資優教育

設有「資優班」，與清大合作「資優創新科學與數位科技探究實作系列課程」；外師搭配中師浸潤式英語教學，辦理資優生國際交流，提升孩子國際競爭力。

設有「體育班」，專長項目包括田徑、排球、直排輪；另發展「跆拳道隊」、「足球隊」、「籃球隊」、「武術隊」等體育團隊，為苗栗培養運動績優人才。

●School Introduction

Our school is located in the northern part of Toufen City, near key transportation routes such as the Toufen Interchange, Jianguo Road, and Zhongxing Road, making it a strategic hub in the city. The school district covers the Zhongxiao, Jianguo, Chenggong, Houzhuang, Hexing, Wenhua, and Shanxia neighborhoods. The campus spans an area of 26,698 square meters. Approved on May 28, 1993, the preparatory office was established, with Principal Chen Chiu-Mu of Toufen Junior High School appointed as the preparatory director.

The school officially opened for enrollment on August 1, 1995, with Principal Chen Zhen-Xiang serving as the first principal. Since then, the school has been led by several principals: the second principal, Zheng Fu-Yuan (February 2004 to July 2007); the third principal, Chen Zhen-Xiang (August 2007 to July 2009); the fourth principal, Xie Jin-Tun (August 2009 to July 2015); the fifth principal, Lai Song-Peng (August 2015 to July 2016); the sixth principal, Zhang Qing-Ying (August 2016 to July 2020); and the seventh principal, Lin Qiu-Chan (August 2020 to July 2024).

Currently, the school is led by Principal Fang Li-Ping, who assumed office in August 2024. Principal Fang upholds the philosophy of "Students First, Teaching as Priority," firmly believing that "education is a noble mission that inspires wisdom with wisdom and touches lives with life." She is committed to the development goals of "student-centered learning, prioritizing teacher professionalism, and fostering community synergy." The school continues to advance its distinctive programs in "international leadership" and "technological innovation," striving to nurture students who are "polite, disciplined, and eager to learn," while realizing the educational vision of "prosperity and courtesy."

• Regular Classes: 7th Grade: 18 classes, 8th Grade: 12 classes, 9th Grade: 8 classes, totaling 38 classes
• Sports Classes: 3 classes (specializations in Track and Field, Volleyball, Inline Skating)
• Cihui Classes (Transitional Education): 3 classes
• Other Classes: 3 classes for Students with Disabilities, 3 classes for Gifted Education

In total, there are 44 classes, with approximately 1,200 students and nearly 140 faculty and staff members.

1. Emphasis on Character Education

   The school offers a "Sports Class" specializing in Track and Field, Volleyball, and Inline Skating. It also develops sports teams such as "Taekwondo," "Football," "Basketball," and "Martial Arts," nurturing outstanding athletes in Miaoli.
