一、重視品格教育
以「有禮貌、愛學習、守紀律」為核心宗旨，嚴管勤教，友善校園，培育孩子成為「富而好禮」的建國棟樑。
二、提升基本學力
以「拔尖、扶弱、顧整體」為辦學重點，強調素養導向教學，開設加深加廣菁英課程與學習扶助課輔課程，全面提升本校基本學力。
三、接軌國際教育
為「苗栗縣國際教育中心」，引進外師，締結國外姊妹校，深化國際課程與國際交流，讓本校成為全臺首屈一指的「學校國際化」典範學校。
四、深耕閱讀教育
大力推動閱讀與寫作，善用榮獲國際金獎的「沐光書苑」，活化校園閱讀角，習得雙閱讀素養，培養孩子成為終身學習者。
五、發展科技教育
每週二節「生活科技」與「資訊科技」課程，另與大學、高中職端合作科技營隊，參與各項對外競賽，與產業趨勢接軌，栽培未來科技人才。
六、推動多元社團
透過每週一節社團活動，激發學生潛能與興趣；另設有「愛樂合唱團」，榮獲全國三項特優獎項，為孩子找舞台，讓孩子發光發熱。
七、傳承鄉土教育
每週一節「本土語言」課程，並以「在地國際化」為主軸，搭配相關社團與營隊，強化第二種語言優勢能力，提升孩子在地認同感。
八、強化資優教育
設有「資優班」，與清大合作「資優創新科學與數位科技探究實作系列課程」；外師搭配中師浸潤式英語教學，辦理資優生國際交流，提升孩子國際競爭力。
九、培育體育教育
設有「體育班」，專長項目包括田徑、排球、直排輪；另發展「跆拳道隊」、「足球隊」、「籃球隊」、「武術隊」等體育團隊，為苗栗培養運動績優人才。
十、注重技藝教育
設有「技藝班」，每周三節與職校合作開設多類職群課程，強化升學優勢，適性揚才，讓每個孩子都是自己專業上最閃亮的一顆星。

As the Miaoli County International Education Center, we employ foreign teachers, establish sister school relationships abroad, and deepen international curricula and exchanges, positioning ourselves as a leading model for school internationalization in Taiwan.

We vigorously promote reading and writing. Utilizing our award-winning “Muguang Library” and revitalized campus reading corners, we cultivate dual literacy and develop lifelong learners.

With two weekly periods of Living Technology and Information Technology, plus partnerships with universities and vocational high schools for tech camps and competitions, we align with industry trends to train future tech talents.
6. Encouraging Diverse Clubs
Through weekly club activities, we spark student interests and talents. Our “Ai Le Choir” has won three national excellence awards, offering students a stage to shine and thrive.
7. Preserving Local Heritage
We offer weekly native language classes and promote localized international education, reinforced by related clubs and camps to boost students’ second language abilities and local identity.
8. Enhancing Gifted Education
Our Gifted Class Program, in collaboration with National Tsing Hua University, features courses in Innovative Science and Digital Technology. With co-teaching by foreign and local teachers in immersive English instruction, we host international exchange opportunities to strengthen global competitiveness.
9. Promoting Sports Excellence
We run Sports Classes specializing in track and field, volleyball, and inline skating. We also develop strong school teams in taekwondo, soccer, basketball, and martial arts, cultivating outstanding athletic talents in Miaoli.
10. Valuing Vocational Education
Our Technical Skills Classes offer three weekly periods of diverse vocational group courses in collaboration with vocational schools, enhancing students’ academic pathways and guiding them to become the brightest stars in their respective specialties.
